he Abacos are a group of islands and cays forming a boomerang shaped chain which stretches nearly 130 miles. It lies roughly 175 miles east of Palm Beach and 100 miles north of Nassau. The area of Abaco is approximately 650 square miles. The configuration of the island and cays creates naturally protected waters referred to as the Sea of Abaco. Among boaters and yachtsmen, these warters are widely known as the "Sailing and Boating Capital of the World." Abaco is also home to the third longest coral reef in the world.
